Yves Saint Laurent Babycat, created by Dominique Ropion and Claire Liégent for Le Vestiaire des Parfums, opens with pink and black pepper alongside elemi, moves into a resinous heart of olibanum and saffron, and finishes on a base of vanilla, cedarwood and a suede accord. Inspired by YSL's iconic leopard print, it's built to feel raw and untamed rather than polished — a warm, spicy-resinous vanilla with real bite from the pepper and saffron, and a suede base that keeps it from turning purely gourmand. Babycat suits cooler months and evening wear best, with strong sillage and long longevity typical of the Vestiaire line's more intense compositions. It's a good match for anyone who wants a spicy, animalic vanilla rather than a sweet, dessert-like one.
