Penhaligon's Portraits The Blazing Mr Sam opens with cardamom and cinnamon, moves into a spiced heart of black pepper, saffron and cumin, and settles into a base of tobacco, vanilla, cedar and patchouli. Inspired by a fictional American character who 'lives fast and speaks loudly', it's a bold, warm spicy-woody fragrance with a distinctly smoky cumin-tobacco character rather than a sweet or fresh one. Best suited to autumn and winter, The Blazing Mr Sam has strong projection and long-lasting wear typical of Penhaligon's Portraits line, and is a good pick for anyone who enjoys assertive, spice-driven fragrances with real character.
