Rain Tea by Louis Vuitton, composed by Jacques Cavallier Belletrud for the Journey to China collection, is built around a green-tea accord: crisp bergamot and citrus at the opening lead into Chinese tea leaves softened by magnolia's honeyed creaminess and a hint of rose. The base settles into soft woods, gentle musks and warm amber, giving the fragrance a calm, skin-hugging finish. It's a fresh, contemplative unisex scent, well suited to daytime and warmer months, with the understated projection typical of tea-accord fragrances — more intimate than loud. Rain Tea suits anyone drawn to green, slightly bitter tea notes rather than sweet gourmands. Given how new and limited these Journey to China releases are at retail, a Maison decant (1/2/5/10 ml) is the practical way to try Rain Tea's tea-and-magnolia character before deciding on a full Louis Vuitton bottle. Each decant is hand-poured from an authentic bottle and sealed in Maison's own labelled vial.
